Property Supervisor
Position Summary
The Property Management Supervisor oversees and supports the daily operations of assigned GPI multi-family properties in the Houston area. This role provides leadership and direction to Property Managers and on-site teams to ensure consistent operations, strong financial performance, regulatory compliance, and high standards of resident service across all properties.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise, mentor, and support Property Managers and on-site teams across assigned Houston-area multi-family properties
Ensure properties operate in compliance with Texas Property Code, Fair Housing laws, and GPI policies and procedures
Monitor property performance, including occupancy, leasing activity, rent collections, delinquency, expenses, and budgets
Review and approve payroll, commissions, invoices, and operational reports for accuracy and timeliness
Conduct regular on-site property visits and audits to assess leasing, maintenance standards, curb appeal, and operational compliance
Support leasing, renewal, and marketing strategies to maximize occupancy and revenue
Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective actions for property staff
Act as a point of escalation for resident concerns, employee relations issues, and operational challenges
Partner with accounting, HR, maintenance, and marketing departments to improve efficiency and consistency
Ensure accurate reporting in property management systems (Yardi or equivalent) and timely submission of monthly reports
Oversee vendor relationships, contract compliance, and cost-control initiatives
Support company initiatives, trainings, and process improvements across the portfolio
Qualifications
Minimum of 3–5 years of multi-family property management experience
Prior supervisory or regional support experience preferred
Experience with property management software (Yardi preferred)
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple properties and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline driven
Education & Certifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree preferred
CAM, CPM, or other Texas-recognized property management certifications preferred
